Yesterday the Scottish Parliament discussed the LGBT Network's petition to legalise same sex marriage. The Committee has asked a minister if they will meet with the petitioners, and if they would consider setting up a group to look at the issue in more depth.
In many ways this is a big step forward. The Committee has accepted that this is an issue and that the Government should be meeting with the petitioners. They have untill the New Year to respond; rest assured we'll keep you informed.
